Last week was a big week for the Bee Ambassadors with 24 employees trained on Tuesday, May 6 followed by Master Bee Ambassador training for 12 employees the next day. This was the first time the training had taken place in the North American Bee Care Center in Research Triangle Park, NC, and so tours were incorporated as well. Both groups viewed the hives at the Center and learned more about the bee research that is conducted there.
Sarah Myers, apiarist and event manager at the Center, and program manager Becky Langer led the training. Participants were from many different business areas and represented regions throughout the South, mid-Atlantic and mid-Western states.
“It’s one thing to know about Bayer’s commitment to bees, but it brings my understanding of that commitment to a whole new level when I can see the research we’re engaging in first-hand,” said Randy Bloom, National Key Account Manager for the SeedGrowth Pioneer team. “The skill enhancement the team received through training and practice will prove to be very beneficial to all.”
He encourages other employees and business partners traveling through the Raleigh area to book a tour at the Center for their groups.
Several more Ambassador training sessions are scheduled for US colleagues throughout the rest of the year.
